These films were a ton of fun and watched each as they came out beginning in 2002…. Now revisiting as a 4 film series.

Netflix had it available to add to my “que”. I didn’t look at the actual release date however. Sooner or later it’ll show up as a DVD.

Had a Black Widow mini-watch party last night and another bigger watch party tonight. First my thoughts, as I've now watched it three times now. The Dolby Atmos track is quite engaging and makes really good use of the surrounds and height channels, this really surprised me because of the streaming aspect as opposed to a UHD-bluray disc(which I will be buying when available). On the video side, Dolby Vision on my new Sony 77in OLED(XR-77A80J), is absolutely stunning. My guests were absolutely WOW'ed by the picture, the deep bass scenes and the surround effects and left with there jaws dropped. Luckily for me, there are no plans by Disney to stream the upcoming Marvel movies on release day, so we'll end up taking a trip to the movie theaters or just wait for the disc release and stream release on Disney months later. I personally enjoyed the movie, plot/backstory, and acting, and it definitely fits into the Marvel movies while giving you hints of what could be down the road, and I won't ruin the "post credit scene" for those of you wanting to see it for yourself. Anyhow, Black Widow is most certainly a must see for Marvel enthusiasts and I highly recommend seeing it, whether paying the extra Disney+ streaming cost or going to the movie theaters. Just to add, I received the steel book version UHD-bluray of this movie. The Dolby Atmos track on this 4K UHD blu-ray is most definitely superior to the streamed content on Disney+, especially the bass being so much more solid.

We watched film 4 for the first time (I had forgotten we never watched it). Turns out it’s NOT a Jason Statham film. The new guy was good but there’s no replacing Statham in this series(if you’re a hardcore fan) Maybe that’s why the reviews hover around 1 star ⭐️

Clever that he was so shot up, it gave him the chance to move slower but still getting his revenge!

Leave your brain 🧠 home of course for this one (Halloween fun). Every year we put our critique aside and look for some brain dead stuff like this to get into the creepy mode! The surprise about this was the AV quality and the use of the surround mode. This was one of the first “streamers” we watched after upgrading to the Linksys Mesh node system. all the quality you would expect from a Blu-ray came through.

CHAOS WALKING This was a strange mix of cerebral science fiction and a western shot on an earth like planet. Didn’t work for me but the lossless audio presentation was phenomenal. I’m not Atmos equipped but it’s on there if you can process. I’d venture from what I saw and heard that the Atmos track would be a treat. We were talking about this film again today and agreed if we were to describe it in word, the word would be annoying! The characters that occupy this planet have this odd capability of having their thoughts visualized over their heads like some kind of weird aura and spend half the movie telling each other to keep it “quiet” in some absurd kind of way.

Going to the IMAX theater this evening to watch "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness". And? No spoilers please! Never a dull moment, action from beginning to end. I’m sure I didn’t catch all of the Easter eggs as there were many, so watching it a second time for me will be necessary. This Marvel movie most certainly opened up many new doors so lots of possibilities in the Marvel movies to come. I will say since I grew up reading Marvel comic books, I’m familiar with many of the plot lines just not all of the specifics that the current Marvel movie directors are using. There are quite a few appearances by known Marvel comic characters making their debuts in the Marvel movie universe, so never a dull moment. I personally enjoyed this movie and would/will see it again whether it’s another trip to the AMC IMAX(time permitting) or waiting for the 4K UHD blu-ray which I will buy. Yes I highly recommend seeing it.

The Bad Guys....
Not my favorite animation style... but the plot twists were actually quite witty... and more than expected.
(It is "age-appropriate" for kids... but anyone who misses the old days of Bugs Bunny and Looney Tunes... or who finds guinea pigs annoying... will appreciate it.)

Watched again "Solo: A Star Wars Story" (streaming from Disney +), together with my son. He is back home from his first year in college, got some manly stuff to catch up with 😄.
I must say I appreciated it more than the first and only time we watched it, shortly after its release.
"Rogue One" is still my favorite of all the "modern era" Star Wars movies, including the prequels and sequels to the original trilogy.
