Agreed about The Next Three Days, I had no idea about it either (I tend to avoid as much information as possible) but it was just awesome. One of the most pleasant surprises in recent memory, perfectly executed. Suspension of disbelief may be a requirement, that's rarely a problem for myself though. To add something to the thread I watched 50/50 last night and thought it was both beautiful and absolutely hilarious, much thanks to Seth Rogen who I've generally grown very tired of the last years but in my opinion was perfect here. And today I've watched Moneyball which was great and Real Steel which was also good. So the scorecard for this weekend is looking good

A little depressing but excellent imagery and fairly true to the novel

A little depressing but excellent imagery and fairly true to the novel I absolutely loved the book, so I was also quite happy with how closely they adapted it for the screen. Probably a good thing they removed the "meat over the fire scene" towards the end

A hidden gen, mostly Canadian production. I felt cold watching all the snow scenes..... Great score as well.

Saw Finchers take on Dragon Tattoo yesterday. Certainly better production than the Swedish version. Liked the soundtrack minus the opening which IMHO was the usual industrial drivel. Had some subtle humor that the Swedish version did not have or if it did I didn't get it. Enjoyed the movie quite a bit, wouldn't say its way better that the other. Their both similar but different, what they add/omit is not the same. Probably my biggest shock was how old Robin Wright looked.

Girl With Dragon Tattoo was the last movie i saw in theaters and if it werent for the insane cost of tickets id go watch it a few more times....I loved this show...and loved all the music once again by Rezner and Ross....as always they are IMO one of the best music production duo's on the planet.....
i eagerly await the release to dvd and blu ray and will be reading the rest of the trilogy soon.

Unfortunately, the first installment has done so poorly at the box office, they may not even make the other two. (And it will do worse when it goes to Europe, as they have embraced the Swedish version as the definitive version).

that would be no bueno. I enjoyed the Swedish versions very much as was looking forward to the US versions. The novels were highly entertaining as well. If someone can come up with a reason to make another terrible rocky film after all these years i think someone can come up with the means to finish out the trilogy for theaters or atleast DVD release.

Wasn't asking for an advertisement trailer, but for your own personal opinion after you watched the film.

Just saw "The Hunger Games". Very good movie. Jennifer Lawrence is fanfastic in it. Woody Harrelson is excellent in a supporting role, as is Lenny Kravitz. Fans of the books will love it. 1000x better than that "Twilight " crap.

My daughter is going tonight with her High School friends and is pumped as she gets to stay out late and anxious about the film. Glad to hear the good news.
