Here's the 10 and 12 side by side, shown with our new mascot 'Ghengis' atop the 10 for scale. Ghengis is a full grown Siberian tiger, 43 inches high at the shoulder, and weighing 430 pounds.

Also, a reminder here to those who may have missed it. These subs (Ultra) are the first in a line of new speakers due in 2010. There will be two different tower setups, a center, surrounds, and two different bookshelf models. These will all be full-range speakers, ported, in either black ash (as seen with the subs here), or cherry veneers. The subs will also be available in cherry.
Vance Dickason has been involved with these new speakers, and they are great sounding, and an amazing value (think a set of towers for under a grand, a set of bookshelves for under $400).

Nice kitty kitty.. ;D Hey Dann is this a typo? "or cherry veneers. The subs will also be available in cherry." Or is one vinyl and one a real wood veneer?

Is Ghengis, by chance, related to Tony? ;D

Are the upcoming Ultra speakers going to be the entry level designs or are the ERTs going to be? I am curious to see how these will be positioned related to them. Doug

This is a 'budget' line of speakers, but very well made, and very good sounding...we will continue the current reference line as well, although there may be some design changes down the pike.

I believe you said that the current line would be considered the reference series... correct?

Hey Dan, can we see a picture of the back of the subs? Do they have detachable power cords?
Thanks.

The back of the 10. The 12 looks like this, with a bit more cabinet around the control panel and...you guessed it...a 12 above the words 'Ultra Sub.'
