So, what are the chances the ERS-212 will be released BEFORE the $100 certificate expires? Based on answers given to the attendees that asked about the ERS subs at EmoFest, I would go ahead and use that $100 certificate on something you want right now.

"Hello - this is Santa. I'm not home right now, but if you leave a message after the beep, I'll get back to you as soon as I can." <<<BEEP>> "Hello Santa?" "Ya' think you can steal away from the workshop for a few days and give Lonnie a hand? I'd really like to get my ERS-212 by Christmas...Yeah I know I'm asking for a small miracle, but I've waited patiently for over 2.5 years." "OK - bye."

I agree. This thread was started over a year ago. I dont think things should even be mentioned to us or hinted untill they know its much closer to being released.

Hey Cupid...ya' listening? I want my ERS-212!!! Those subs would make a great Valentine's Day present, but I am afraid that it is likely to be 3rd or 4th quarter before the ERS series subs see the light of day. Of course, I might be wrong, but my guess is based on bits and pieces of information I have picked up from various Emotiva personnel over the last few months. At Emofest 2010, Big Dan told me that Lonnie was in the process of totally rewriting the GUI operating system for them and that after that was finished they would need to do the production engineering. Once that is completed, Emotiva will have to schedule a window in the production line queue. When you factor in all the projects that Lonnie already has on his plate; and the fact that Emotiva will be introducing 24 new products over the next 5 months, it is safe to say production on the ERS is not likely to get started until this fall at the earliest. My estimates may be off because I have no real feel for their production line capacity. However, I am making an educated guess based on the release of past products and the time line they appeared to be on. Has anyone heard any information that would impact my theoretical time-line?

As much as I would have liked to give Emotiva my money for these dual subs, I've always said there are always options. I couldn't be happier with my selection of another internet direct subwoofer specialty company. Since buying my first Emotiva product, they've been my first option(and will continue to be as well) but if they don't offer what I'm looking for, there are other manufacturers that do.

come on Emo - throw us a bone here - I've been reading about and waiting on these for over a year now. Any news is better than "no" news... are the ERS subs going to make it in 2011?

The ERS subs have gone through about 1000 revisions so far. The project is still running, just a little farther down the list though but it is still moving forward. What we are working on now has a completely new amp stage (high current class D @1kw RMS), a whole new DSP front end and a completely new GUI that is super user friendly and icon driven. The project as it is now is honestly nothing like what we originally talked about and when finished will be something special. When will it be released, I still can't say. I can tell you it is moving forward though and looks really sweet. I don't want to publish any pics right now because the GUI is really slick and don't want to give it away to another company.

Excellent that it is still on the drawing board. And please remember that there are some of us (well maybe just ME) who want to get our hands on the amplifier and DSP module a lot more than we need more drivers, so please make it available separately. Pretty please?? ;D

Looks like the Easter Bunny left me hanging too...no ERS sub in my basket. Memorial Day too has come and gone - nothing. Perhaps we'll know something - anything - by the 4th of July. Any updates Lonnie? I'm willing to drop some cash to be a Beta tester if need be. It's been 3 months - can you give us anything?

It's hard to believe, but 4 more months have passed...and nothing. I'm actually thinking of dressing up for Halloween as a ERS-212. At least I will win on the "one of a kind" virtues of my costume. I know no one has ever seen one before....hmmmm....could be the grand prize winner. On a side note - the latest delay is due to finding a way to keep the nuclear core stable at room temperatures. Once they've figured that out, it's only a matter of time before Lonnie can harness the full 1.21 gigawatts... ;D Hohum....

I wonder if the "Big Surprises" that Big Dan referred to in his post last night will include the ERS sub woofers. During Emofest, one of the topics I discussed with Dan was when can we expect the ERS series subs to be introduced. There was no promised time frame, but Dan did say they were working on the production line engineering/scheduling for the first quarter of 2012 -- whatever time frame that works out to. I have been patiently waiting for the ERS subs for about two years now. I guess I can wait a few more months. Wouldn't it be nice if Emotiva snuck in the ERS subs as a Christmas suprise? ;D Hey, I am allowed to day-dream, aren't I?

I too am still tentatively on the ERS subwoofers train, but I did jump off at one of the stops and ended up with an SVS sub and I couldn't be more happy with the results. Just remember everyone, we do have other really good alternatives. I'm not saying don't wait, but until they become physically present and not vaporware, you could be enjoying another great subwoofer. Just for disclosure, I'll more than likely jump on these when they do come out. ;D

My 2 Ultra-12s are serving me just fine. Therefore, I have the luxury of waiting patiently for what I want. Right now, the X/REF-15s are on my menu. If they don't tickle my pallet, I'm going to take a serious look at Rythmik. I heard that the ERS Series will have outboard amplification. I just dont have the space and ventillation in my cabinet for additional power amps. Anyhow, based on the reported improvement of the X-REF-12 over the U-12s, I feel pretty confident that the X/REF-15s will not disappoint.
