Law Abiding Citizen Good movie. It really makes you think about how our justice system works, and makes you wonder how you would react if you had experienced something that horrible in your life. There are a couple of scenes that make you say "oh come on", but it's a movie! Overall, I really liked it. Gerard Butler is proving himself to be a very versatile and believable actor, and Jamie Foxx played the part well. Lot's of graphic violence, so be prepared.

^ Right after WotW, played "The Pursuit of Happyness". Will Smith's acting is superb in this movie. The kid is great too!

Hey, I just rewatched that one too last night. ...I like it a lot too. On Blu of course (some great bass when that guy is running on those roofs).

^ Yup, but it'll come soon enough, just hold on to your panty hose real tight for now. * Last night: "Grand Torino". ...Great Eastwood's film. Clint's real funny in it, and the kids' performances onscreen are exquisite. Luv that one a lot.

Where the Wild Things Are . . all three of my boys were enraptured with it once it got going. I thought it was not bad. If I find it at a decent price, I'll get it. Respectable surround and solid PQ although the early scenes were a bit muted (dark). The boy is a perfect Max . .

Last night: "Red Cliff", directed by John Woo, on Blu-ray (148 minutes Theatrical version).
* It was OK, with a very good picture quality; great details in the costumes and faces, some amazing camera shots too, but also some CGI (which I'm not a fan). Some combat scenes I did not care for as the close ups from the camera simply did not show the true action (how could it, it's only a movie!).
The Audio (DTS-HD MA 5.1) was disappointing because it was faked, overexaggerated, which was not realistic at all with the onscreen action. I just don't need anymore of that in my life; give me realistic sounds (Master & Commander) anytime over fake stuff (Transformers). I listened to this film in its original language, Mandarin, which is best to.
All in all, the picture is simply beautiful, and the colors seem to be quite natural too, and some shots are simply breathtaking; so for that, I give it a recommendation as a good rental, and from there each person will decide what to do next.
