Point taken. I just don't hear anyone saying..." I talked to _____ personally, and this is what they said." Well what fun is that to talk directly to a staff member? That doesn't make for very good speculative threads. Who wants to be a party pooper?

If you all look at Dan L post he asked that you PLEASE call or email Emotiva directly with your issues and not use the forum because a lot of the issues people are reporting here are not detailed enough for them to understand and if you call they can ask you specific questions so they can get a better understanding what exactly how your system is setup and what your doing and what it`s doing under what circumstance etc... it is way easier for them then wading through all the posts trying to understand what is what and why , Please go to post/thread - (the definitive UMC-1 status page from Big Dan) and scroll to the last post/page and you will understand the "call them directly" seems to go right over most peoples heads. it must make them "feel better" to vent on the internet than to talk to an actual person. I have often wondered why people jump on the forum just to complain rather than contact us directly to find a solution? I must be missing something somewhere ;D

"I'll pass this along to Dan and Lonnie." This was after listing all the issues with my UMC. Power off issues (says "Power off" but never turns completely off) Audio loss from DVR on HDMI connection on pause/ff Speaker levels not being saved after shutdown EmoQ bad crossover issues. (250hz for fronts, or 20hz and 250hz) EmoQ giving levels for non-existant speakers EmoQ failing to complete when reaching non-existant back right speaker. Random freezes where I need to reset the system (happened when changing inputs from blu-ray to tv, both hdmi connections) He said that they haven't experienced these issues with their equipment, so I once again offered to give mine back in a cross ship. He said thanks, and they'll see.

I must be missing something somewhere ;D Thick skin would realize that I'm not complaining. I do believe many are looking to only do just that. Conferring with others to see if there are like problems is all I'm after. I have yet in over a week get a response to two emails sent to Lonnie. Emails simply stating a few bugs I had found looking for acknowledgment of them. I also had talked with Nick getting the I'll pass it along comment. So sorry to be a party pooper after all. No harm, no foul. Just looking for more information as I'd guess everyone else does who posts/reads this forum.

It was just a general comment, so please don't take it personally, it wasn't meant that way.

I hope it is useful for some people and I hope others try it. My wife is home today and is keeping the system on all day. She will monitor for any drop out issues.

hopefully that cures the audio drops many are experiencing. however, if just that single post could be made into a sticky labeled: "Having audio drop-outs, try this FIRST".
Of course it won't stop the endless posts reporting that issue along with the back n forth arguments amongst some, but it could be a step in the right direction.

great job, dyohn! This is a great example of the positive use of this forum. When people come on and internalize the issues that are occuring & put positive energy into helping find a solution - good things result. When people come on merely to complain...well, it's a drain...

Point taken. I just don't hear anyone saying..." I talked to _____ personally, and this is what they said." Well, part of the problem is that most people actually work for a living, so contacting Emotiva when an actual person is available AND you're present to fidget with things is not as easy as you seem to think. I did call and talk to someone last week, to speak about Emo-q settings, DVR audio drops, and stereo amomalies. This person did not have ANY knowledge of these problems, indicated that the only firmware change known to be under development was to rectify the overlapping codes in the USP and UMC, and did not offer to get me someone who may have more information. So calling did not help at all. I do plan to call again. Now e-mailing for support has been a better route for me as one problem I have been having seems to be under investigation, just not confirmed/fixed yet. That's cool, I don't expect it to be fixed overnight. However I have had some PMs that were requested, go unanswered for weeks. And before you tell me that PMs and e-mail are not the same - I know, and was asked to specifically PM. So just be aware that taking all routes to get information to the correct people is not a bad idea. It's also obvious that Emotiva is present on these forums, so posst are not falling on deaf ears. p.s. Dyohn, pretty nice find for a mindless fanboi!! I just wish I was home to check my settings.

OK, one down and just about 4 to go for me. What issues are you having with yours? As you well know, I am awaiting my turn. There are a number of issues floating around of concern, but the one big one that I want fixed before I would finalize the order is the video processing problem that has been noted widely here. Like the dropout issue that you seem to have solved, that is of the type that will caue wife problems. I don't need that.
