In honor of the 44th anniversary of Woodstock, my new speakers finally came to life today. They are currently placed on top of the Cornwalls I bought 40 years ago this year. My wife is hoping that the living room will soon revert to a living-room instead of a sound lab. They sound fantastic and image better than any other Klipsch I own. I've got to open them up and increase the attenuation on the horns a few dB as the high end is a little hot. God bless autoformers as this is just moving the horn tap down. I'm just about to pull the trigger on a pair of Rythmik F15s for the low end!

Spent a big chuck of the weekend doing the final tuning of the crossover and getting them down onto their stands for now. The Emotiva subs are so far out that I think it's going to be the F15s. Using REW, I was amazed how far down I had to go with the horn attenuation to get a perfect balance. The woofers(K28s) had to be wired in series because they are 4 ohm drivers, therefore I lose 3Db. The K28s are rated at 99 dB, but I think they are a bit lower, say 97dB The Faital HF140/LTH142 is 109dB So 109 - 97 - 3 = 15dB. I went with -14.75 and REW measured it pretty flat. They've been running pretty much non-stop for 4 days at < 80 dB output. Can't wait to open them up once they break in a little more.
