yves So you've heard it? What did you think of the sound? Do you have a suggestion for a better speaker other than say the Canton's you have? The Pendragon is on my upgrade list. I hope to hear it at my friends house soon. But I am interested in all opinions. Not nearly revealing enough for my taste, even though it's not edgy nor fatiguing, and it's actually fairly coherent, but it just leaves me wanting for excitement/detail. In the price range of the Canton Vento 890.2 DC, there isn't any Hi-Fi speaker I would truly recommend... apart from the successor to it, i.e., the the whole new Canton Vento 896 DC. I like the look of those speakers. There doesn't seem to be any compromise in them. Nice large woofers, beefy mid range and a ceramic tweeter. What's not to love? If I had the $5k I would be considering them as well.

If I had the $5k I would be considering them as well. In the U.S. it's $4,760 / pair, which is the equivalent to 4,304 Euros, whereas here in Belgium it is only 3,398 Euros for the same pair. But then, if I want to order something from the U.S. then I have to live with a similar difference in price, and sound quality matters, so it didn't stop me from shopping at Emotiva.

I've put in my reservation for a pair of T1 towers. Really looking forward to them. I'm trusting Emotiva on this one, having been blown away by the quality of sound coming from the 4s and 5s monitors compared to other monitors in the same price range. The price of the towers is pretty neat, comparable to HTD's Level Three tower, which is also a ribbon-tweeter TMWW; would love to know how they stack up.
I chose the T1 over waiting for the LCR and S10/S12 units to come out as I'm usually a 2.0 stereo guy—don't have the time/patience/space/money to wire and mount things around the living room. If I did have those things, I'd be waiting.

This right here is why I would never purchase something based on a "Professional" review, like wtf is this gibberish bulls%#t " This transformed the bass from well-dressed Wall Street raider to metrosexual Parisian poet. Drunk on absinthe, this mustachioed, low-frequency bohemian slurred a little, and his beret smelled of Gauloises, but he spoke most colorfully. The midrange shape-shifted into a beautiful Geisha. Koto music played with paper-lantern charm. The highs became Hokusai geese flying against a blue October sky." But it sounds so pretty I am tempted to get a pair....☺ I vomited....i can write...i can write well....what a cheap attempt at showing ones knowlege of other cultures without actually understanding a damn thing. Lol!

I am very tempted to give the T1 a try, but then again, the shipping cost you Europe will probably be very high compared to the price of the speaker. I am definitely not impressed by the quality level of the parts used for the crossover but that does reflect the low price for the T1 in itself.

We do in fact have several more models on the drawing board. However, they're still in development, so there are NO DETAILS YET. As usual, we'll tell you more when things get a little more finalized. Get ready... They're almost here.... Start saving up....Airmotiv passive speakers... coming soon...
For everyone who's been waiting for a new line of Emotiva passive speakers...... Keep your eye on the website......
Just looking at the Airmotiv speakers on the website. Is that it? Will there be more models? Higher end? Taller? Deeper bass response? Please tell me they come in something other than black?

But geese are loud and they mess all over the place..... I want mine to sound like hummingbirds. The airmotiv B1 and E1 give the impression that they are sold individually, as the picture only shows one speaker but at the bottom of the page says sold in pairs. It would be better if they put loudspeaker in plural.

Holy crap, only 86 db efficiency. They sure look pretty, but you will need a pretty strong amp to make these sing. Almost identical to the Airmotif 5s minus the amp. To me the powered monitors may be the better deal. For only $100 a pair difference you won't be able to find an inexpensive enough amp to run them for that.

Holy crap, only 86 db efficiency. They sure look pretty, but you will need a pretty strong amp to make these sing A BasX A-100 is rated for two channels 50 watts RMS/channel into 8 ohms. This is Emotiva's smallest amp and is plenty strong to drive the Airmotiv B1 Bookshelf Loudspeakers. Everyone is in luck because Emotiva makes a full line of amplifiers at affordable prices that will drive any of the new Airmotiv Passive Loudspeakers.

These new Airmotiv passive speakers are going to pair excellent with the new BasX line for a home theater surround system and stereo system for a great price. The new slim Emersa line with plenty of Digital amplification will excel the BasX line and also pair excellent with the new Airmotiv passive speakers.
