I'm curious, how come ELAC UB5 got so much praise on CES 2016 while Emotiva had just product intros on YouTube? Was Emotiva not demoing the passive line? |

Well here we are! Almost half way through August and the passive Airmotiv speakers should be shipping soon unless they've been lost at sea! Anyone have more info on how soon we might see them shipping? I hate the thought of replacing the ERM-1's in the bedroom 2 channel setup but I keep stubbing my big toe on the DIY 12" sealed sub. Trouble is the ERM-1's would sound 'naked' without the low end help. The B1 bookshelf speakers play down to 48hz which is IMO enough to replace the ERM-1's AND that toe stubbing sub! The ERM-1's are an excellent sounding speaker but roll off starting at 90hz - by 75hz they are all done - leaving a hole in the lower octaves.
Any news on these new speakers?

Anyone receive theirs yet? Looking forward to comparisons between these are the powered versions. May go for one of these vs the 6s with a reciever for ease of adding a sub later down the line.
