There is a USB port on the back of the Emersa EDA digital amp. Anyone here know why you would have a USB port on an amplifier ? I'm going to take a stab at this, I believe the usb port is to configure the amp as to weather it "knows" its a 2,3,4,5,6,7 blade amp. IE; instructions , parameters Actually the front panel is intelligent and just knows how many modules are installed in the chassis. We have never had to issue a control code update to an amp, but should that ever be needed, we can simply send it out on a stick and you can take care of it instead of sending the amp in. Lonnie |

OK, update here.
The units are actually finished and released for production as we announced in the last web cast. There is some long lead time parts that is delaying the production a little but they will be out very soon.
If all the parts show up as scheduled the pre-amp and amps will be released first, followed by the stereo integrated unit and then the processor (some of those parts have very long lead times, sorry guys).
So you will see them soon, just hang on a little longer.

Very interested in how this line compares sonically with the the Bas-X and gen 1, gen 2 and gen 3 XPA amps. It will also be interesting to find out if they fill out the lineup with 3, 4, 5 & 6 channel amps.

Is there any word on the Emersa multi channel amps. I've ordered the mc700 and need an amp. I'm willing to take a gamble on class D and am attracted to the weight and size of the Emersa, and its somewhat greater power than the basx. Since I plan to keep the amp for a long time, it makes sense to wait a couple of months, but if it is a lot longer I may look at other options.

I thought Dan said February or March on the CES video about Emersa. The Pre,integrated and amp were the first to be released.
