For those interested, look for the videos from CES 2017 to see Dan's latest quotes. My memory agrees with brubacca...everything but the multichannel pre-pro will be very soon. Someone linked the videos here...check the 2017 CES thread among other locations. Or, use the good old friend Uncle Google...Emotiva CES 2017. They are on YouTube.

I would agree Mike. The main reason I responded in this thread is because of what I consider the "tiresome pot shots" that a few seem to still take at Emotiva over timelines. Since Dan hasn't given any definitive timelines or release dates since the XMC-1 was finally released(which has now been over 2 years ago) you would think people would let things go and give it rest. I often wonder if one can't let something like this go after two years, then I'd hate to be someone who is related who never hears the end of it and is constantly reminded of a mistake. OH!, so you've met my brother. It is the middle of May, 2017. Still no Emersa! Recent videos at YouTube had Feb and March 2017shipping dates. Still no Emersa up at the Emotiva Website. Many of the BasX products that were to ship in "Feb" still have not shipped. Here is a good excuse that I used with great effectiveness in grade school: "My dog at my homework!"

Many of the BasX products that were to ship in "Feb" still have not shipped. Here is a good excuse that I used with great effectiveness in grade school: "My dog at my homework!" A couple of BasX products shipped a bit late (and the MC700 was waaay rushed to market) but I'm pretty sure what Emotiva mentioned about the BasX line is pretty much done. There may be like one more products that isn't out, but I can't think of it right now.

No worries, must be on the Gregorian Calendar. Mayan Calendar. That's my guess and I'm sticking to it!

KeithL mentioned in another thread today that Emersa was alive and well. Based on the popularity of the BaseX products Emersa has been pushed back. Probable released at the end of the year.
Not exact words from Keith, but you get the message.

The Emersa PrePro is a low profile unit that will fit in smaller height locations than most Receivers and other PrePro's. It is described as a Lifestyle design. It uses the TI chips and is supplied with Dirac room correction. Is it possible that we can get an update on the current direction of the Emersa PrePro without commitment to the what the final design will be Dan Laufman ?

I think they have too many things on their plate. I ordered an amp 2 weeks ago and its yet to have been built let alone shipped.

Has the Emersa line been cancelled? anybody heard anything? Haven't, but I seem to remember nothing was going to happen until after the RMC came out, after which we might expect trickle down from the XMC/RMC designs. I'm still on the fence for Dolby Atmos, but the only way I'd get it in an Emo box would be likely the Emersa pre-pro. Big jump from non-Atmos 700 to XMC! I'd prefer to have Atmos in my back pocket for the new (though small) theater room to come, so I'm still rooting for the Emersa HT pre-pro. Pricewise, I also seem to remember seeing someone quote a price more like the original XMC design (before they switched to Dirac), but still a kilobuck under XMC.

I’m looking to maybe downsize in the amp dept. Right now I run 4 amps for 5.1 ( 3 upa-1s and a upa-2). My space isn’t very big so less wattage would probably be ok. I wish Emotiva had a 3 channel amp not as expensive as the xpa-3.

Since Emotiva likes to announce new products long before they ship, and always(?) many months (or what seems like a year or two) late from the original announced ship date, it would sure be nice to have more frequent updates than we get. It sure is nice to get an early glimpse of new products, but Dan & Co., either don't tell us so soon or give us more updates including what the reasons are for the long delays. Please?

How does a company stop selling a pre/pro between $5k & $700(sold out) with nothing in sight? XMC-2 "still being finalized"

I think that Emersa has gone the way of the Music Server, Tube Electronics and Dodo.... That's my opinion at least.
