Me three. Couldn't pass up a price this good...they will check that you are a UFL member when you order so, I suspect, if you didn't get their e-mail quoted above, you can't order at this price.
Well, I got it too and it's too good to pass up. Ordered my XMC-1 this morning. Where's the dislike button hahaha, JK congrats you lucky sob

Understood, but what is irking me a bit is that there might be some kind of pecking order (or to put it in less flattering terms, a system of inequality and discrimination) at work even among the UFL membership or upgrade system. Yes, I am familiar with the "business model" argument, namely that, Emo can adopt whatever business model they see fit in order to advance their own standing. However, this system of discrimination within the same group or category of buyers does not quite sit well with me... Just saying. It took me years of quality Emporium posts to work my way to the top of the UFL list and I'm not giving up my position of power any time soon... At least until I get involved in a land war with Asia. Btw, interestingly UFL you have to pay shipping. It was tiny at $20, and I can sure you posed no speed bump for whipping out my credit card; just interesting.

I can't quite say I'm enjoying my life at the bottom of the UFL pecking order too much, but here's hoping Emo will see the error of their ways and make things right, just this one time!

We can go around in circles and play with the numbers countless ways, but for me it's pretty obvious that I'd be stupid to pay the $A3,999 locally. I hardly think that I'm only one doing this sort of calculation. To me is silly criticize a business model based on sale pricing and having to flight 15 hours one way to buy a product. Of course you can take advantage having a vacation or a business trip but i don't think that emotiva makes a decision based on those factors. I'm not in any way suggesting that Emotiva should change their business model because I'm planning a trip to Emofest next year, that's just silly. What I am attempting to do is to demonstrate (using a real world example) just how uneconomical the current pricing is, why any savvy Aussie will view it the same, although their particular circumstances may vary. I could demonstrate it many other ways, for example I have friends living in New York, SanFrancisco, Napa Valley and Chicago, so I could get one sent to them and then have them send it on to me. Cost me less than $200 in freight, so still around half the cost here for exactly the same product. It's not like there is any difference technically, sure we run 240 volts at 50 Hz, but that's hardly an issue. Just because we are in the other hemisphere doesn't mean that our speakers work upside down, although the water does drain in the other direction in the sink. Yes, it's spring time here, not fall, but an XMC-1 is still an XMC-1. Cheers Gary

You guys think this UFL is just being offered first to folks who haven't yet purchased their first XMC-1 instead of all (including current owners) since getting a second unit wouldn't really be an "upgrade"? Noticed several things about this that are "different".......shipping charge......no 7-10 day waiting as advised on the site, mine shipped yesterday evening.......the purchase isn't listed in my account like my other purchases have been.

Thanks, The Emotiva website states: "Special promo: If you buy an XMC-1 for the sale price of $1999, you also qualify for 10% off an XPA amplifier. Call 615-790-6754 for more details." Give them a call would be my advice. Nice deal, you'll love the XMC-1.

Agonized over a decision and wanted to hit 'Place order' immediately before pre-buy fear set in ... unfortunately they seem to be closed over the weekend and was seeking instant gratification :-)

No. I received the email and have had the XMC-1 since first shipped. The current price is very tempting, an absolute steal if you are in the states. Since the XMC-1L is on ice and with the special UFL promo action the $$$ delta to the upcoming EMP-1 is pretty small - damn you got me too! Just ordered... BG Fabian P.S.: It will be interesting to see what DIRAC does with my fully active front and center, where I already have 40 band of PEQ per speaker available and time aligned chassis.

It's not about quantity but how long you have been a customer I've been around from the beginning but since my pre/pro was purchased from AV123 I get bupkis whenever these great sales come up I'm (im)patiently waiting for one to hit the used section.

Will the new XMC's (FY 17') have the current 2.0 upgrade board or will they have something new? I can't seem to wrap my head around this HDMI nonsense. I want to purchase another XMC and I guess I'm trying to see if I should purchase the 1.4 leftover (4k passthrough), the $1999 version (with new HDCP board), or wait until FY 17' if you're bringing an all new HDMI board out.
Thank you for baring with me. God, can't they just let us slowly incorporate 4K before talking HDMI 20a, 2.1., 2.11,000, etc.? I'm getting tired of the AV industry. Not you guys, just all the market hype. It seems we can't even take full advatage of what we have yet. A few years back HDMI was simple, now it's complicated.

Judd Until it's shown and released we won't know for sure, but I'm expecting the XMC-1 G3 (FY17) to have the multiport HDMI 2.0a+ board, along with the Atmos board. It doesn't make sense to put in the current board when by then there will be too many situations where it won't work. But buy for your needs, if the current pass through model works, and will for the foreseeable future, the price is great. You'll still be able to fully upgrade it in the future if needed, for about the same total price. (assuming you're in the US).

Thank you for the response, and yes I'm in the US. I am just going to order another 1.4 version to put in my living room for now. I'll then take the UMC 200 up to my room or the kids play room. Honestly, it probably makes more sense since I don't even have a 4k capable display in my house yet. I want a 4k projector for the family room/theater, but am waiting for them to come down in price.
