I received an email this morning about an $1999 XMC-1 Promotion which includes the HDMI upgrade board already installed. A great deal for people without 25% UFL's or unused 40% discount cards.
Cheers Gary

I believe the 40% off will only work to the list price - ie. $2500. However, to your point, you could purchase for $1999 and then sell the 40% card in the Emporium for a chunk of change and bring down the price even more.

Just ruins the resale market if you ask me Mind you in Australia and Singapore at least where we have local dealers we won't see a budge on the prices I bet...screwed over again from the good old days of internet direct.

Dan and the bean counters there have really messed up the loyalty of existing international owners to the point of killing any repeat buyers if you ask me.
It a sad situation as Emotiva had such a lot going for it over the past 6-7 years - now most of that advantage is now lost.
Still at least it widens the options for most buyers now as there is more to choose from in the higher price brackets Emotiva is now forced to play in in markets where they now have local distributors.
Maybe they will rethink this silliness one day.
