Shame you guys didn't stick with the feature set of the Fusion Flex with two inputs, remote, IR in and RS-232 features. That little guy makes a great network controlled zone amp when used with a Global Cache iTach or Flex RS-232 to Ethernet bridge/adapter.

Sure wish I could plug my BTM-1 into it!! Great! Now I think to tell y'all about it!! I was just thinking of my simple office that has no quality music in it. Thoughts?

I have the 'twin' - a Sherbourn PA 2-50 with two inputs. Very handy for powering zones and 2 channel setups. I've driven the song towers with a Fusion Flex amp. It did a very credible job. This looks to be one more hit in a long line of very good amps for Emotiva. The Fusion Flex is/was IMO more desirable than the mini or this one. Switching between sources and volume control via a remote is very handy.

Will the BTM-1 work with my DACMagic+ ? If so, maybe pick up a DM+ and give it a go. The preamp only version of this DOES have the BT input and you can ala carte an amp.

Welcome BasX-A100 to a great lineup of amplifiers.

Fantastic guys! Wish I had the full specs on the headphone output!! Especially at a cool 300 ohms!! Maybe 300 ohms with resistors and without?! But seriously, this is the huge draw of this amp. At $200 it's also priced very attractively for the headphone crowd.

"...Another special feature of the headphone outputs on the BasX A-100 is their ability to drive even the lowest efficiency planar headphones with ease..."
Talking about the lowest efficiency planars, I'm very curious as to how well this unit can drive the Hifiman He-6. That would be the ultimate litmus test for me. The BasX A-100 certainly seems to have enough power, but it is not just about output power, but also about a certain synergy, which makes me very very curious...

I wouldn't get TOO wrapped around the axle with the 'direct coupled' headphone output. Very FEW headphones will take advantage of that and those that DO seem to be fairly expensive.
The hifiman HE-6 from the post above, are 1300$ The manufacturer recommends a 5 watt amp while the impedance of the cans is 50 ohms. The extremely low SENSITIVITY is partly offset by the small air cavity they need to 'excite'.
Electrical compatibility might be important, but I'd settle for an Extremely QUIET amp. Any noise will right to your EARS.

I know it's not as elegant as an in built solution but a box like This gives you IR to trigger control. Im pleased they kept the triggers because that gives you options.

Very excited these guys are in. Will be looking to grab one for the garage and another to head up a Zone 2 to my back porch running audio from my Mac Airport Express through airplay.

Mark On Monday I called Emotiva customer service and told them I was going to hold my breath until I got my A-100. A laughing service rep said, "I hope you can hold your breath a Long, Long time!"

I have a couple of Flusion Flex models driving in ceiling area speakers and I've been happy with the SQ and signal sensing power on feature. I may pick up one of these for a third location. The one thing I'd love to see is a bridgeable model - this form factor would make a killer mini-monoblock!
