Just submitted an order for one! Decided my Carver M500T takes up much too much room on my desk, and I I can't seem to get a working adapter to let me use it with unbalanced headphones. Now I just have to try to sell the M500T. Pair with a nice DC-1 and profit! It actually fits the width of the DC-1 exactly though it's longer at the rear. Eventually that's probably what will happen, but for now I'm going to stick with my XDA-2. |

Darn, looks like I should have held off a bit. There's a like new one for sale from their ebay seller for $198 OBO. Oh well, I still get to appreciate that brand new electronics smell  |

Interested in purchasing this as a headphone amp but has the volume indicator on the knob been addressed (it was mentioned by Dan within this thread that this oversight would be addressed)? Planning to use the jumpers with my different headphones so not having an indicator seems very dangerous. I guess I could put my own indicator on but would like to know. If it is not currently corrected, do you know when it will be? Thanks.

Anyone here using this amp with low impedance, high sensitivity headphones? I own a pair of Philips Fidelio L2 which specs out @ 16Ω, 105dB sensitivity and 200mW max power input.
After looking at the A-100 specs, I'm almost certain that such a use-case for my particular headphones would be to run in Normal mode instead of Direct drive mode? I'd be afraid of blowing the headphone driver to bits in Direct drive mode.
I'd be interested in hearing your experiences similar to my use-case with this particular amp. Also what sort of sound signature (if any) does this amp present to your headphones?

I am considering purchasing one of the Emotiva Audio BasX A-100's. The intent I have for it is to drive two speakers and use our Beyerdynamic headphones when not using the speakers.
The concern I have is I plan to have this near our main computer (12" away) and monitor (2" away). Will I cause any interference doing that with this unit?
