This thread is here to discuss all things "V3 HDMI Board". You have a question about installation, or maybe something isn't working the way it should be, this would be the perfect thread to come report those possible firmware bugs. If you think you've found a firmware "bug", what gear are you using. It’s these types of questions that will be useful in aiding others, so lets try and keep this thread "On-Topic".
Also, NO Atmos/DTS:X talk as this has it's own respective thread. This also isn't the place to ask when is it shipping? or did you get a tracking # yet? or when will it be back in stock? Lets please leave these types of questions in the other over populated "V3 HDMI Board Update" thread. Thanks for everyone's cooperation.

The following firmware is ONLY for the V3 HDMI 2.0b/HDCP 2.2 video board. Do not attempt to load on an XMC-1 with the V1 or V2 HDMI 1.4b video boards. If you have purchased the new V3 board from Emotiva, follow their instructions precisely and install your board with the firmware they have provided you on the USB stick in the DIY kit. After doing so, then you can use the following beta firmwares for upgrading but You do so at your own risk. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Firmware link for V5.1 (courtesy of enricoclaudio): www.dropbox.com/s/bbo32o5c30v99hc/XMCupdate-2018_06_21.dat?dl=0------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Firmware V5.1a : XMCupdate-2018_06_26_5-1a.zip (1.74 MB) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Firmware link for V5.2 (courtesy of hobba), it is unknown what this beta version may or may not fix, so if you aren’t having problems with your current version you load this at your own risk. www.dropbox.com/s/z7iqstzd0t0d7a0/XMCupdate-2018_06_29_v5-2.dat?dl=0------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Firmware V5.2-b : Below is a link to KeithL's new Firmware section of the Lounge. For you DIY'ers, if you've ever installed a video card in a desktop computer, then you can easily install a V3 HDMI video board in the XMC-1. Exacly following the installation instructions shouldn't take you more than 15 to 20 minutes, max. All you'll need is a good #1 Philips head screw driver for the 3 different sets of screws you will encounter, and if needed to loosen the brass stand-offs a 3/16 in socket.
I highly recommend reading through the instructions provided with your V3 HDMI board at least twice as there are a couple of steps that are quite critical, otherwise not following these precisely could end up in bricking your XMC-1.

I will receive mine tomorrow but won't have time to install it until the end of next week. Would be great if somebody make a video of the installation process, though.

LCSeminole, thanks for starting this! Did you have any of the Samsung ARC issues that Lonnie spoke of a while back? If so did it get resolved? How long have you been on the latest code?

After having looked at the instructions and the photos I would say a video would not be necessary. It looks pretty simple and straightforward. The toughest part will be disconnecting everything and getting the XMC out of the system and reconnected. I was going to install mine last night after work so I removed the side panel from my rack and looked at the back of the XMC and quickly put the side panel back on.

(because it is so simple and straightforward)

Can we get a scanned copy of the instructions in this thread? I’m on a work trip until Fri so if anyone else who has received their V3 board could do this, I’m sure everyone here would appreciate it!

Went through the process.. best to keep the different kind of screws isolated by type. Needed the 3/16 in socket to loosen the standoff. Directions were clear, but obviously should be followed closely. XMC displays 4K as 2160 rather than 3840... it just may be displaying vertical resolution rather than horizontal. Anyway, seems to work.. is passing HDR.. haven't tried DolbyVision yet. Only have myOppo hooked up.. need to go on to DirecTV, my video server and some of my audio equipment... but the board seems to work, other than my question about the resolution display. I'd be happier to see it displayed the way my Oppo does... 3840X2160.
More to come.... everything was straightforward...
