Installed 5.14 - some slight changes in the front panel (for example, a 5.1 source now shows the Dolby icon "DD 5.1" - used to say "5.1")
CEC still not working from my LG OLED TV. I only got it working once for about 3 days, and that was years ago. No big deal for me.

By running the loop-back test, I found that the XMC-1's CEC controller chip had failed. Emotiva replaced it under warranty and has worked fine with my LG OLED up to the point that I retired my XMC-1. It may be worth running the test if you haven't already done so...

Installed firmware 5.14. The XMC-1 seems to respond more quickly with this update, whether it be the amount of time it takes to switch inputs, how quickly it locks on to a new video or audio source, or how quickly it responds to commands from the remote control. So far I haven’t experienced any bugs or loss of any functionality (CEC continues to work, as it had for me prior to the firmware update).
I have the following devices connected to my XMC-1: Sony XBR-65X950B via HDMI, DIRECTV HD set-top box via HDMI (1.4), Oppo UDP-203 via HDMI (2.0), and Apple TV 4K via HDMI (2.0). Also using analog connections for a music streamer and a turntable preamp. Speaker setup is 5.1.

KeithL Do you still plan to fix the "display flicker" issue? It wasn´t there before the V3-board and is annoying... I just the XMC-1 exclusively dimmed to 0%. When I press "Info" I just want the display to appear shortly and not flicker and shift the coordinates where stuff is displayed slightly once during that period. This wasn´t the case with the older boards and is very distracting when it happens in your peripheral vision. I even sent your support videos showing that issue etc. but never got any clear response... I don´t want anything fancy, I just want this to behave as before with the older boards, which shouldn´t be hard to do.

Pretty vague on the details. Just ordered an AVM-60! Good luck. I got one about a week before the 4k board was released and it was dead on arrival. In case you were losing sleep, the AVM60 arrived last night, was placed in the rack today and is working flawlessly. Will likely take the time to run ARC Genesis this weekend, but I’m already very impressed with the sound and the responsiveness.

So here it is , it's been a couple of weeks now since the latest firmware update and i must say Bravo ! The emo team has nailed it ! I have my XMC-1 back in action ! So far it has been flawless and is working as intended with ARC and CEC . I'm so glade i kept the faith. So here it is Gary Cook ! In comparison to my Anthem AVM 60 the two channel operation no big differences as for multi channel operation hands down Emotiva gets the most attention! Just digging it ! Thanks again for all your efforts !
Happy Thanksgiving!

I loaded 5.14 this past weekend. No problems, and almost no time with it since (busy, plus winter storm caused bigger issues for us that limited my time for listening or watching), so have not noticed any problems or improvements that stand out. Switching sources still takes a while. I have not had significant issues in my setup (no streaming sources and such so simpler than some). I realized as I was doing it that, except for the past couple of FW updates, I have not had to cold-boot my XMC-1 for 2-3 months now instead of at least once a week, so progress has been made and retained.

Anyone have an idea of the last time this was available for sale? It shows as unavailable. Wondering if it will be sold again.

I would just think they are making sure everything works and sending them back out the door. I'm wondering if they aren't available because they have used them to outfit the trade ins that have come in without the boards.

No. I think you're probably correct in thinking that they spend the least amount of time on each unit and push them back out, but, I was thinking they might want to "part" some of the V3 boards to sell to folks wanting them - if Emo might not be making new boards since the XMC-1 upgrade market is drying up.

I beg to differ. Before I purchased a refurb I followed the upgrade program for about 4 months and the info I gathered was that all the refurb XMC-1's would be sold with the latest upgrade board. The one I received has it and was reset to factory defaults. If you think about it, it is the only way to go or they would have to have different price points for each version., further complicating the process. Now where they get the upgrade board from I have no idea but I'm sure some have to be from new stock.

I never bothered to look for the listing for the refurb XMC-1 units before you posted this, and they do indeed list in the specs that it's HDMI 2.0b. This makes me think Emo is not only still making the V3 boards but that the support for the XMC-1 should be good for quite a while longer. I've been on the fence of whether or not to upgrade to the XMC-2, and one of the reasons to upgrade was based on my assumption that support for the XMC-1 might start to wane soon. Frankly, considering it includes the V3 board, $999 is a great price! And thanks for correcting me. I am now not as ignorant as I was a few minutes ago.

I called the last couple of days trying to find out if there was one I could buy. They finally told me today they do have new ones but they didn't think they would be advertising them on the website. You have to call to get one. If you don't have any need for Atmos, the XMC-1 sounds amazing and works like a champ. I love mine and look forward to using it for the foreseeable future! Agreed that $999 is an amazing price.

Agreed that $999 is an amazing price. My XMC-1 had been in a box for 3 years due to our move and remodel. I just now have it going but do not have the HDMI 2.0 board. I still have the protective film on the display so someone will get a great unit with mine.

Got an answer to my reminder mail. They could reproduce the issue but can´t say if or when this will be fixed.
