Keith had reminded me of the EMO foray into tubes. Lots of cheering and let's do it.......
But few sales.
the EMO crowd is very price oriented. Not good or bad, just IS. But the flip side is 'value'.....which is very subjective.
Is some feature / capability worth more? How much higher cost could be sustained if the warranty were double the current offering?
Am I or YOU, willing to pay 5 large for Klipsch Forte IV in Distressed Oak? Or spend a fraction that on a pair of Cerwin Vega?

I have owned the Forte II for over 30 years- it’s in my office as decoration.

Things change.....and KLIPSCH has made many changes. II ->III was an upgrade....but the III -> IV was BIG.
While I can't 'tell' you what to buy or listen to? I'd suggest a trial listen at any Heritage Dealer. You could walk out with a head nod in
2 minutes OR sit for a longer audition.
Several changes. Horn science and application has improved as have materials and the understanding of how they work. Klipsch makes
a big deal of the new 'steeper' crossover, too......
My listen was fairly positive. No horn artifacts like 'shriek' or 'honk'. Only beef? I'd have expected deeper bass given the 12" / 15" PR design.
And no need for a mega-amp, either. High sensitivty tells me the RIGHT 150 watts per speaker will be MORE than enough......
Your older, model II may have resale value to someone willing to 'upgrade' to newer internals......Reclaim that space in your office, rearrange and
add some bookshelves!

"We will have the new speaker line available right after the new year." -Dan, December Emo Podcast
I believe the most have a different definition of what this quote meant. Most understood this to be "The first week in January", but obviously could have meant March, July, or Christmas.
Any updates to the current 2024 timelines? New bookshelf Speakers: January 10th New subs: April New stereo Pre amp: May New processors: August New towers: unknown, Christmas

NOBODY except someone who has something ready to ship can accurately promise a 'ship by' or 'deliver to store' by date.
I've been watching APTERA auto keep pushing back the ship date now for 2 or 3 years. Original day for sales to the public
is now later this year. I'm not holding my breath.
I think EMO should have promised something like 'Available 1st quarter 2024' and left it at that.
All it takes is ONE supplier (say...for crossovers or parts FOR them) to have a big problem to put your entire schedule in the
tank.....
What are people thinking? Doesn't everybody already KNOW that such advertising is meant to take you OUT of the market
while you 'wait'?

I listened to the last Podcast a week or two ago. Very disappointed. We’re getting what already existed with minor cosmetic mods and an option for white. Nothing new to salivate over. 🙁

NOT at all about 'apology' for EMO. This is just the Business Model used by many companies. Stir up a buzz than deliver later. That's the how and why of things like 'Go Fund Me'...... Even the new starup automobile, APTERA, made right here (mostly) in Southern California is selling pre-release cars......Can't drive one yet, but they'll sure sell you one!

Have you seen the SVS ultra evolution speaker announcement with the time aligned drivers and dual opposing bass drivers? I’d like to see how they compare to Emotiva’s new models.

Focal knock offs with isobaric subs for 5 grand and $900-$1300 bookshelves? The marketing department over at SVS is doing an amazing job fooling everyone to say the least. Probably made with the same "aircraft aluminum" as their cotton RFI cables. Nothing is special or new about any of their product designs and a pair of marty's laughably destroy their entire sub line.
SVS is not remotely worried about Emotiva, nor do they exist in the same space. If anything, SVS's new product line is going to push even more customers away, some to Emotiva, most to Klipsch, KEF and other well known speaker brands. The new business model is sell less for more.

While this is all true, Emotiva is not some random Kickstarter. Making false promises and missing delivery dates is a business model set up for failure.

We get it, you hate SVS... Maybe you should hold on to your opinion until people start getting these into their hands for testing. SVS, like Emotiva, has a solid reputation of offering a lot of "bang for the buck".

I'm personally 'tired' of the modern speaker paradigm of multi-driver Towers. Use as many as 3, 6" to 8" drivers as the bass end with a 1" or less dome tweeter.
Me? I'm looking more.....old school.....with a 12" 3-way as the standard. Several speakers in this line, including a re-issue of the JBL L-100.
As for subs? Sure. SVS has evolved from the original cylinder designs to more 'sellable' types. Me? The sub space is pretty tough. But I'm going to look to
Dr. Hsu for my direction and would consider something from them. Starting under 700$, you can go to double that in 4 models.
BTW? The Cylinder Sub can be DIY'd fairly easily as such things go. Simple calculations for length of tube than off to Madisound or Parts Express for a good
plate amp!
Those 'curved' enclosures from SVS are Pure Focal. Snowman has a decent point. But ONE question? Wasn't Marty a character played by Earnest Borgnine in the
1955 Oscar winner by the same name? Just checking!
Value is in the ear of the beholder. Unless I were wealthy at the obscene or profane level, I don't see myself spending thousands on a multi-subwoofer array.....
