And BTW Animo, you said you have no problem admitting when your wrong............so Ill be waiting for that apology on THIS POST. Ugh..... that was Chuckie that posted that. And I did mention to you that I will post when I agree with you and make sure others know that, but that doesn't mean I can't post when I disagree. I do know that the Ryhtmik is available in 3 versions, but you keep pushing the one with PEQ. This is the first post where you mentioned the other version. So....who deserves an apology? Was it Chuckie that stated he would apologise? LOL! Thats ok. Regardless, do a search back, I mention the XLR version alot actually. Its what Im using for my 4 DIY kits in my main theatre room. Regardless you can still apologize to me for making assumptions without basis...... I promise, I'll let you.

Alrighty then. Since everyone is so pumped with this thread now what do you guys feel about dual A5s-300's I sold off my 2 A5S-300's for the Rythmik D15SE if that tells you anything............and the gentleman I sold em too was also told up front that I thought the D15SE was a better choice as well, LOL! Anyway those 2 300's with give you a TON of output, but they need to be crossed over low and smoothed out a bit to sound their best.

I don't know what you mean by you had 2 13 ultras? I will be using them exclusively for HT. I do want the most accuracy I can get but without sacrificing extension. If you are speaking to their accuracy. They were just the PB12 plus sub was just reviewed by Sound and Vision in September and they found it to be musical or musical enough. Check it out at SVS in the news page. It was conpared to 5 other subs.

And the review/soundoff done was really against other subs I would not consider top tier musically. So is it musical? Or musical enough? Only YOU can decide that. My SVS Ultra's(Which is considered the step up to the PB12-plus) could be somewhat musical too, but not to the point that was satisfactory for me, and especially not for the money spent. Thats why I got rid of them.

OK that`s pretty cool thank`s I was a little concerned that it mite not be enough for sub duty If you're concerned about not enough EQ in the UMC then just get the Rythmik with the PEQ amp and get one more band of EQ. I have a BFD 1124 so I have plenty of PEQ I was just thinking out loud about the UMC

Ok well this thread has taken some crazy turns mostly bc I don't know what I want and I kept chaning my budget. Then there was a pissing contest in there somewhere . But overall what can we take from this? I think what I really want to at least get out of this thread is if I want to focus on HT should I get: 1) One really nice sub ie an SVS PB-12 Plus or a Rythmik F15 or 2) Get two lesser subs such as the A2-300 or A3s-200. Recommedations please.

Someone was telling me that if I get a servo sub I can't or I'm not supposed to use something like a SMS-1. I think they were saying that it negates the utility of the servo. I may have this all wrong is this true.

A small room has more problems with nodes than a larger room and 2 subs will help balance out your room better than fiddling with a single sub. I kept my review unit for behind my seating area and I love the extra "kick" it provides for movies and music. They are inexpensive and easy to hide, too...always a plus! www.earthquakesound.com/CP8.html
