Fedex did the same thing to me last week. They dropped my package off down the street at the wrong house. Tracking showed it was delivered so I jumped in my truck and drove around and luckily I found a big box on a door step. Went to check it out and sure enough, it was mine! These guys are getting way too sloppy! Weren't you nervous!!!! Living in Texas, and grabbing a box from someone else's door step and the possibility of getting shot Dan

Even if it cannot be quantified by measurement, at least the instrument should show that there is a difference in the output signal. But some are hearing differences even when the 2 signals are identical. How is that explained? Ghost in the machine!

yes. that's me too. i sold that MC7106 stupidly cause I made a profit..and the difference I thought I was hearing I honestly thought I was imagining.....but now I really think I was wrong....which is why I sought out another one of these amps. Pure stupidity alright I would have kept the Mac over the Emo, Emo are awesome amps for the price, but there's always so much low cost can get cha Djoel

You'll do great with any of Emo amps, what concerns me is that you have 3 different brands of speakers. Well the rears shouldn't be a big deal, but the center at least should have the same timber as your fronts....
If you looking around for a good advice on combo you have matching up front speakers, and if you listen to hi rez music, then the rear should match the from as well
Just my 2 cents

I've heard them in a show room, never been impress by what I heard. They do look nice, they're tiny in comparison to what I've owned currently and in the pass.

Fantastic with jazz and classical, but i played some 80's pet shop boys at them and they struggled with that. seamed to lack some mid range. base is wonderful and clean. my room however could be the cause. i tried the xda1 direct that also made a difference. yes they are big, i still get a shock! It could be the 80's music... Every so often I player vinyl, or cd's from the 80's it sounds awful, soulless, some..Those where the dark ages for digital recording. Djoel

The best speakers I heard was just a few weeks ago, hell it made me go out and buy the a disc of Yes re master moFi so I can hear with my current speakers, and those speakers I hear where the MBL don't know the model number, hell they 55k so why know the model numbers. While a pair of Dynaudio Evidence Master's WOW, WOW, WOW! The one of the best I've own where Dali Helicon's sweet speakers, and right under 5K Djoel If you heard the MBLs at AXPONA NYC then you're talking about the 101 MK II and they are a whopping $70K! These were by far the best speakers I've heard too. Nothing else even comes close; at any price point. Oh... 70K Time to go rob a bank!

Those 101E Mk II's had me drooling. I could barely stand to sit in the room and listen any longer because I knew I might be selling my car and motorcycle and walking to work for a pair of them. G/F thinks they are ugly as sin too, she wouldnt be happy if I bought them. Man oh Man though! What a gorgeous sound! On a side note, any body want to lend me $20k so I can pick up that pre-owned set on Agon? I wonder if the 13K pair of another MBL model on agon sound close to the 101E? man what great sound ;D and personally I thought they were beautiful. DJoel

Which Yes disc did you get? Fragile...It's cool but too much of that organ thing going on, kinda kills it for me! Djoel

I would definitely do as the other members have posted, I own 802N and they sounded their best with a pair of XPA-1.
Good Luck, and Congratulations on your sweet speakers.

Dan: called your cell when I got there, it went to voicemail.. Met up with Steve (Eltwo) in the lobby and we started our tour at Emotiva (of course, where else?).. Didn't have my checkbook with me otherwise I would have bought a pair of the Legacy Helix at 48k a pair.. The sound was deafening and cleared out the room when they played "Money For Nothing" thru them.. A good show but I would have liked to see some names like Onkyo, Pioneer and Paradigm next time..What were your thoughts on the show.. matt Hey Matt I had lost my cell somewhere in the hotel some time around when I got there and 10.15 last call according to Tmobile what ever, it was crappy cell, and I go through phone I go through socks. Yeah I had a great time, and I was there at the legacy room once I hear the money for nothing song..Some said you should have been here a few minutes ago, they where really playing LOUD! Yeah I'm with you on that one, wish they would have been a few more Big names, I was thinking I never seen Maggies in these types of shows would have been interesting to hear them. maybe next time. Last night, after I got back from the show, I did some critical listening on my OBs, while the memory of listening to various speakers was still fresh. With the exception of the MBLs, which are in a league of their own, my OBs are easily better than all the high priced speakers that I heard. I don't mean to sound arrogant but I'm so thrilled with this revelation that I had to share this with all my Emo buddies. Whom else can I share this with? I wasn't that impress with the Kef speakers at all, perhaps it was the amplification, but the again it was Class A Pass Mono amps 100 wpc a piece. I knew a few guys back a year or two who praised those same speaker Ref 203.2? Thinking back I wish I would have said something, as he is a living legend, and quite the genius, not that I'm qualified to call anyone the G word, but he sure is one..He look so inviting and with a warm smile. I missed the boat on that one Dan

just saw a pair on the audiogon site for 20,000,older mbl 101e,but dam they are the coolest thing too look at,and the sound is incrediable!! I wonder if this is the original packaging. My Emo 6.2 had cloth bags and not kitchen saran wrap. Lol I went on Agon last night too, and yeah that price is a bargain for these.. They played some Rush, don't recall the song but it was AWESOME! TRUE to life sound. The other speakers that left an impact in my life were some Dynaudio Evidence Master, the sound was in my head it was beautiful. Dan

I was in both rooms but I'm thinking I dropped it in the JVC/Thiel room , but yeah I was at the Avatar room looking for it, one of the guys with the Ada shirts had call my cell to see if it was around.
